3D Graphics, Illustration, Software Engineering, Game Development

Hi I'm Aimei (pronounced I-may). I’m a Technical Artist in cloth tailoring and simulation at Pixar Animation Studios, mostly creating and animating CG costumes for the characters. I’ve worked on Soul, Incredibles 2, Coco, Finding Dory, The Good Dinosaur, and Inside Out. On Soul, I also worked on Soul World concept development in the Art Department, and was the recipient of a Visual Effects Society award for outstanding effects simulations in an animated feature. I have given talks at SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, Disgraph, Nordic TD Forum, Yale University, and more.

I like to make art and music in my free time, and am currently working on an animated short. It’s fun to experiment with technology and different techniques to create something interesting! I hope to keep improving :)

I graduated from Brown University in 2013 with a double major in Computer Science and Physics.  In the past I've interned at the Space Telescope Science InstitutePixar Undergraduate Program, and the Johns Hopkins Materials Research Science and Engineering Center.  I was also a two-year teaching assistant for the computer animation classes CS125 and CS128 at Brown University.

This website is just a place to collect all the random stuff I work on. It’s probably not up to date, and some things are kinda old, like early high school, but I’m still a bit too attached to remove them
